Michael Algieri, a multiracial, Long Island native, is the adorable young actor currently starring in Josh Radnor’s directorial debut, HappyThankYouMorePlease, which was shown at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. The vignette style film is creating a lot of buzz, with Michael being hailed as the scene-stealer in his storyline opposite Radnor. Michael portrays the character Rasheen, a young boy who is discovered alone in the subway by Sam (Radnor). Throughout the film, Algieri and Radnor develop a strong bond, which according to Michael, transfers off-screen as well.

Born on January 20, 2001 in New York to Michael and Stephane Algieri, Michael’s career has already spanned television and film. Similar to many young actors, Michael’s acting inspiration came from watching television shows such as Disney channel’s ‘Phil of the Future’ and ‘Even Stevens,’ and Nickelodeon’s ‘Drake & Josh’, but after he began going to auditions, he decided that he wanted to follow in the footsteps of Jaden Smith and become a serious film actor.

Algieri got his start, however, in the modeling world at the age of five (5) with FORD models. His portfolio includes Macys, Phat Farm, Sean John, and Lord & Taylor, which  are just a few of the companies he's worked for. After modeling, Michael’s next career stop was TV where he played the young version of the title character ‘America,’ in a television movie on Lifetime.

When Michael isn’t working, he loves hanging out with his brothers, playing soccer, boxing and playing chess. His favorite boxer is Floyd Mayweather. He may sound like a typical boy, but Algieri has big goals in mind as he gears up to have a career similar to his favorite actor, Will Smith.

As Michael moves ahead in his career, he is looking forward to the exciting new opportunities that await him.

Michael is currently living in New York with his family.
